What AGS can do for an agency

AGS Rome 2026 Welcome Kit for agencies

They can in-house the buttons. They can't in-house the room. Here's what the room does for an agency, door by door, and what it can't.

Door one: in front of brands that need what you do

Who they are on the list: the direct advertisers and offer owners (Step Mode, TerraLeads, Nutra Leads, Direct Meds, Leads Market, Total Security, Prismique, among others) and, less obviously, the vendors to brands: fulfilment, logistics, retention, CRO, payments. Those vendors know which of their customers is growing and who's asking for help with traffic. An introduction from a fulfilment company lands differently from a cold email; it lands as a recommendation, and "getting an unsolicited recommendation pretty much closes deal."

How you get in front of them: request them through the Match App the day it opens; walk the stands; sit in the sessions with brand-side speakers (Nick Shackelford of Brez, Marisha Lakhiani of Mindvalley, Dayu Yang of EcommOps) and talk to the people who came to hear them, because those people run brands.

What you bring: not a capabilities deck. The one thing they can't get from an employee and a login. A channel they aren't on. A category you've grown that they can call and check. Capacity to run their offer at volume next month. Judgment, which is the thing that's left when everyone has the same tools.

Door two: the networks and offer owners who pay on results

Who they are: the CPA networks (MaxWeb, LeadBit, Everad, Advidi, Aff1, Click Dealer, and the rest of that section), the marketplaces (ClickBank, Digistore, JVZoo), and the offer owners who'd rather pay a buying team on performance than build one.

How it works: a network or owner assigns you an offer on terms, you run it, and you're paid per result. It's the same skill you sell for a retainer, on a different contract, and the retainer model isn't morally superior to it. It's just older and slower. One solid brand partnership with back-end rev share is worth more than ten retainers that churn in ninety days, and the people who write that kind of contract are on the floor.

The nine questions to ask before you treat any of it as a plan are in the guide: who funds the traffic, what's paid for, how it's tracked, when cash arrives, reversals, caps, creative rules, termination, exclusivity. Ask in the room; decide later, with the answers in writing.

How the Match App works once you hold a pass

Access follows pass approval. Once you hold a pass, you search for a company or person, send a request with a proposed slot, and they accept or decline. Accepted requests are meetings with a time and a place at the venue. Standard passes get the Limited level; Premium gets Basic; Platinum gets Privileged. Higher tiers get more of the app; Limited covers a shortlist of six.

The request that gets accepted: "We run [category] for [type of brand] at [spend]; we'd like to discuss [running your offer / your traffic requirements / a client in your category]." The request that gets declined: "Let's connect."

Names before flights: send the requests the day the app opens, and book the flight you can't cancel once you've tracked who's accepted. That's the order that turns conference spend into business development.

Which rooms exist

The options: a pass, or a stand

A pass is how most agencies attend, and for a first trip it's right: the floor, every session, the reception, the Match App.

A stand is for an agency that wants brands and networks to come to it for four days. Same route. A second-trip decision unless you already have a pipeline of brands who'd visit.

What the room can't do

It can't make you secure on its own. A list is the start of prospecting. What four days can produce is a shortlist of brands who've met you, one or two networks who've offered you an offer on terms, and a couple of owners you can call to compare pricing, staffing and margins with, who don't need anything from you. What that's worth to your agency is the guide's job to price. It's usually more than the next "quick call?" email costs you.

We update this kit from time to time as confirmations, prices and event details change. This page is current as of 12 September 2026.
